CPRD

In 2015 I was appointed to the post of Executive Director of the CRPD (Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability). The Commission is the independent mechanism in place to monitor the implementation of the United Nations Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD).

The CRPD’s goal is to render Maltese society an inclusive one, in a way that persons with disability reach their full potential in all aspects of life, enjoying a high quality of life thanks to equal opportunities.

My role includes advocacy, strategy and planning, government liaison, team management, recruitment and budgeting. I also represent the Commission in conferences both locally and internationally, speaking on disability issues with a specific interest in education, employment and political engagement.
